Leg / foot cramps are usually do to a shortage of minerals. If you take magnesium and potassium before bed, it usually gets rid of it. Somtimes it is calcium also, and calcium always needs to be taken before bed, as the body needs to be at full rest in order to absorb it properly. (You can also take it during the day if needed, but it won't be used appropriately). Do not take magnesium at the same time, as calcium and magnesium fight each other to get into the cell, and you will lose some of each. If you need to take them both, take them at least 1 hour before / after the other.

From what I've read, you should be taking Vitamin D3 along with the calcium
for best absorption.
