You sound just like me when my GP suggested getting a Mirena coil fitted... I trust my GP and did a *lot* of research online before I finally agreed to it and it was the best decision I've ever made! OK, so I burst into tears as I was wheeled out of the ward but that was because I'd never had anything like this done to me and to be honest it scared me to death in case I died while I was getting it fitted. I obviously didn't die and I haven't been in agony that made me suicidal every month since that day!
If you've made up your mind not to have it done though, I swear by TENS machines! They are pretty expensive to buy but they are worth triple what you pay and then some!
Other than that I haven't tried any herbs so can't help you with that... sorry!

Subject: [AlternativeAnswers] Re: new here questions about herbs for perimenopause
I have been contemplating getting the Mirena IUD. I really do not want to do that, but feel this is my only choice. I do not want an endo ablation nor a D+C and
BC pills are not an option.
So, before I make this big decision, I want to see what is out there for natural herbs to help balance my hormones. Something that will make me not spot for days before my periods with horrible cramps. Tired of heavy periods and cramping to. And they are coming every 25 days. Yuck.
Thank you
Cindy
