Joy,
I can really relate to what you said about the emotional side of
perimenopause. Even though I don't particularly like having a period, it is
a reminder every month that I am a woman, that I am feminine, that "I still
have youth" etc. etc. I still have a period at age 47, but I know that when
it goes away, I will have feelings of loss. I never read about women
feeling that way. So when you mentioned those feelings, I was surprised and
thought, "Yes. Me, too. I feel that way, too!"
I don't know if I've ever intro'd myself, but my name is Erin- I'm 47 and
live in Ohio. Right now I am taking Evening Primrose oil (which really does
help with breast tenderness), Vitex, and Dong Quai.
