Hi -I wondered if anyone could help me. I have done several radon tests in my basement. My door leading out of my basement is almost in the center of my basement and leads up a stairway with two doors (one that goes into my house and the other that goes out into the garage). The tests that I have done on radon throughout this year have been between 3.4 and 3.8. I have read that anything over 4.0 is dangerous and should be corrected. Please advise your thoughts if you are familiar on this topic as to whether I should look into this further with professionals or if the basement might not be completely air tight due to the positioning of the stairs and doorway leading to the garage. I am wondering if this could be giving me false readings on the tests. I live in NY State in case this helps you at all. Thank you so much.
