see if you can get some biodiesel soap-put a sign up in your local health
food store-a local may be making their own biodiesel-the by product is soap-i
use it to wash everything- i add a little eucalyptus oil to add fragrance and
to help with dandruff , anti bacteria and to clean-- everybody loves it--if
your skin is super sensitive-leave out the euc oil

I no longer use shampoo on my hair either. I do however use a small amount
of a natural conditioner but make sure I rinse it out totally while having
my shower, using my mother's method of knowing when hair is properly clean -
it is "squeaky clean", lol. If my hair squeaks when I am squeezing excess
water out then I know it is clean. To wash my hair I use just plain old
laundry soap and I must say I am much happier with how my hair looks these
days than it used to, it is very fine hair that tends to look "ratty" very
easily but since giving up on shampoo it gives the appearance of having more
body to it and I have hardly any grey hairs so that must be a bonus, lol. I
might even give it a try and not even use the soap/conditioner for awhile
and see what the difference is.
cheers
Lyndall

Perhaps this is what has made a difference for us as well? (Neither
myself nor my husband or children use shampoo anymore. In my husband
this has stopped his hair loss as well as reversed some of of his
greying hair... he has had grey hairs with brown roots coming in,
something neither of us expected.) We are in the country, and while
the water is filtered, it is untreated. My daughter, in the throes of
puberty, is having to use baking soda and cider vinegar to control the
oily build-up, but my son was much the same when he was going through
puberty, and his hair has settled down nicely now that he's done.
