I had the same problem with Lush deodorant, it made my armpits really sore. I tried the crystal one for about a year, but it never seemed to work well with me. I have tried all sorts of different kinds of natural deodorant products to find one that worked and have recently found Dr Organic Pomegranate deodorant, which really seems to work.

Subject: [AlternativeAnswers] Alternative to man made deoderant
Can anyone advise me what to use? I sweat quite a lot and hve tried a natural
deoderant from Lush which was supposed the be free of nasty stuff it contained
baking soda and burnt my armpits so any other suggestions would be greatly
appreciated
there is a cystal block that works as a deodorant-not sure if it is
so good as an anti perspirant but give it a go-it is sold in health food
stores-it is a cyrstal that kills bacteria- the other thing is - shave
armpits-the hairs aid in the growth of bacteria which causes oder as well as
warmth- creating more pirspiration-of course the cystal only lasts a couple of
hours-take a plastic bag-wash cloth hand towel and crysal with you to
replentish andfreshen up ,,,,,
