Re: [AlternativeAnswers] Re: energy work

Thank you Karolyn. Nice to see someone who is open and doesn't have a lot of limiting beliefs and false barriers based on what society has imposed on us, like you said. Sad that you have had that experience with this woman. I have run into people like that too. However, instead of feeling sorry for her, I challenge you to feel love for her instead and send her love and light, so the darkness can no longer hold sway over her. We are ALL connected whether we realize it or not.... And every man, woman and child is a golden link in the chain of our own good. We are not separate as we choose to believe. Everything that happens to one individual affects the rest of us and the rest of the collective human consciousness. And it's not just humans we are connected to. We are all connected to the animals and the plants and the earth and everything else around us. We live on the earth and when we treat it with respect it flourishes and is happy to blossom and
provide us with gifts. When we mistreat it or the other creatures on it then you have dysfunctional environments with pollution, food that doesn't provide us with the proper nutrients due to being treated with chemicals, animals dying off and more. Did you know that the earth has a chakra system in it just like we have our own chakra system as humans? It's true. And just as we can send love, light and healing to each other we can also do the same for plants, animals, the oceans and seas and the earth.

Rob

Rob,

I agree. All healing, all energy, comes from the source, the "all that is", the universe. Whatever one chooses to call it, it is the same consciousness, whether one calls it God, Jesus, Buddha, The Great Mystery, there does not need to be any disagreement with anyone's spiritual beliefs. We set up false barriers, perhaps in response to fears imposed on us by others.

I remember a woman who said that when she tried to walk a labyrinth, she felt like she was spiraling down into some evil darkness. I built my own labyrinth, & believe that it reveals to us, like meditation, if we open our minds, the things we know in our own hearts. I walk in with a question & come out with an answer. I felt sorry for her, sorry that she had such fearful darkness within herself.

Theses methods have been practiced by various cultures and is considered hands on healing that comes directly from Source, God or whatever you choose to call it. The practitioner is just a channel for the energy to come through. In fact catholic nuns and priests have used reiki to heal patients because it comes from Source. Cleveland clinic is now using it too. Please do your research and you will find out that all energy work does not require you to hold any religious beliefs. You simply must be open to receiving the healing which does come from Source, God, etc. And to further that thought it wouldn't be here if it didn't come from God. God meant for us to benefit from all his great gifts but we must make the choice to use them.
