So what you're saying is that you personally should get to decide who lives and who dies. Everyone who finds themselves in a situation they can't instantly get theirself out of is totally at the whim of whichever "charity" might or might not be within reach for them at that moment.
And of course each charity gets to personally decide whether that person lives or dies, and being the wrong religion would usually ensure that they die.
The world has seen that kind of thing too many times.
