I had mine 30 years ago and I always tell women to avoid it. I don't
have any definitive proof, but my instincts tell me the tubal played
a key role in the various menstrual issues that have plagued me over
the years. Mine was done right after my 4th child was delivered by C-
Section and it was a long time ago. Maybe the simple laproscopic way
it is done now would make a difference. I have never found much
information to validate my conclusions, but there has been some. I
have not heard any man voice a problem with his vasectomy and always
feel if there is a choice, let the man have the procedure and don't
tamper with the woman's reproductive system. It is an intricate and
sometimes delicate system. I have regretted my choice for a very long
time. My husband was more than willing to get a vasectomy, but it
was -- as long as you are in there just go ahead and do it -- if I
knew than what I know now.......
