I am new to this group. I am looking for perspectives on nighttime urination. This is a 40 year old woman who has been waking up during the night to pee about every 2 hours for almost 14 years. It began with her first pregnancy, continued through 2 pregnancies and nursing 2 children, and has been pretty consistent since. It is worse when she eats certain foods, and therefore avoids those foods.
At the time of the first pregnancy, she was already very depleted. She pushed herself physically and emotionally for many years, but 3 years ago, changed her life. Many of the other symptoms she had have resolved, but she is still waking at night to pee. I am looking for a bladder tonifying herbal formula. I am also looking for any theory, Chinese or Western, about why this has continued for so many years.
