[AlternativeAnswers] Re: Osteoarthritis

I've not come across any medications that have helped me other than pain killers. Doctors have tried me on at least 20 different meds. I was diagnosed 20+ years ago (I'm in my 40's now) with osteoarthritis and have had multiple surgeries on both knees. Early on my doctor told me I would need to have my knees replaced.

I've recently heard about a procedure to regenerate cartilage that was used by Olympic swimmer Dana Torres. It's called Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation. Once I found it wasn't an option for me I stopped looking into it. Maybe someone here knows more about it?
