Re: [AlternativeAnswers] help get ants out of my house

Natural remedies to kills ants - just be careful with children and pets in
the house.
Herbs/Spices ant repellent - Sprinkle cinnamon, mint, chili pepper,
black pepper, cayenne pepper, cloves or garlic – whichever one you happen to
have – in the area where you've seen ants and along your home's foundation.
Bay leaves can also be placed in cabinets, drawers and containers to further
deter those pesky critters.
Vinegar - Wipe down your countertops, cupboards and any other places
where you've spotted ants with a 50-50 mixture of white vinegar and water.
Repeat throughout the day to maintain the efficacy.
Why This Works: Two reasons, really: ants hate the smell of vinegar, and
it removes the scent trails that they use to get around
Crush Dried Mint leaves and spread the powder in areas prone to ant
attack. You can even use mint tea bags. This is considered to be one of the
effective home remedies to kill ants.
Cucumber peels are a natural and safe ant repellent. Take slices of
cucumber peel and place around window seals. Use the cucumber peel as a deterrent
around the outside of your house foundation. Ants will go out of their way
to avoid the cucumber peels.
Use Lemons to Get Rid of Ants - A lemon juice mixture also works
surprisingly well. I can't remember where I learned this home remedy to get rid of
ants, but mix up about half lemon juice and half water. Put this in a spray
bottle and spray everywhere ants are seen and anywhere they can enter. This
includes spraying around the outside of the house. Works wonders if you
want to eliminate ants!
Or you can buy a Boric Acid ant bait product. Have to keep children and
pets away from it.
For outside ant hills - make a solution of cayenne pepper and cinnamon in
boiling water and pour over ant hills.

Help I've been invaded by ants for weeks now. Everything I've tried

only work for a short time (day or two). I have ferrets so I can't

use chemicals (even if I wanted to) but am ready to start. Can't take

the bites anymore and finding ants on everything.

Please Help

Robin
