My friend has all the symptoms of pyroluria but tested through Bio-Center Labs and came back negative. I've heard that there is a fairly high percentage of false negatives in this test.
I have also heard that Vitamin Diagnostics is the best lab to use for testing for KPU and HPU, but I need to know how to contact them.
I know they are in New Jersey, but haven't been able to find a phone number for them. Does anyone have a phone number for the lab?
Do you need a doctor's order for this lab, or can you order it yourself? Does anyone know if the testing is covered by Medicare? Really appreciate any help I can get with this and any other info about diagnosing pyroluria and getting treatment.
