Was the doctor a regular md? They usually give antibiotics after 3 days. Is this a tradtional md, if not, I think you need one. I try to wait sometimes with my kids, and alternative things dont always work. You need tradtional antibiotics.

He said my son didnt need to be seen, do fluids, steam, rest etc.
That it should take 2-4 weeks to recover
My son has such a hunky cough, and not sleeping well.
