If its gone on that long, I think he needs medicine from a doctor.  Is he on antibiotics?

My son has had a bad cold for 2 1/2 weeks
It is now a respiratory infection
I am using the following:
Slippery Elm tea
Elderberry syrup
A vaporizer
lots of fluids

Any other suggestions?
