The Sense and Sensibilities of Jane Austen
November 18 & 19 at 7 pm
Only 50 seats available per night!
Step into another world and engage in a multi-sensory, 18th century British, High Tea experience.
We will have a notable guest speaker lead us through an engaging discussion on the life and works of one of the greatest writers of all time...and her capacity to illuminate and articulate the inner-most feelings of human experience.
Jane Austen will be our inspiration this evening as we explore:
• autonomy in times of change
• intuition vs. instinct
• self-knowledge and being true to oneself against all odds
• wit and humor
• compassion and humility
• synergy between contentment and passion
• grace and beauty in the world and humankind
Bring your curiosity, your daring to take risks, your love of beauty, friendship and new possibilities.
Walk through the door and be transported back to the 1700's England... live classical music, the smells of high tea, an abundance of fresh flowers, traditional savory and sweet delights served in the "company of clever, well-informed people who have a great deal of conversation."
