I used to have frequent and terrible back pain. My best remedy was to exercise. I especially refer to exercise lying on the floor. The point is to strength your back muscles. Slowly bend your knees and stay in this position for a while. Later embrace your knees. Later embrace one knee at a time. Another is to make a circle with your extended legs, one at a time. Another make a circle with your flexed legs, one at a time. Rest for a moment after each exercise.
Many people don't believe that such simple things can help and don't bother to do it, but I assure that if you do it daily little by little you won't have more problems.
There are other helpful positions and exercises, but these are the basis.
