[AlternativeAnswers] SOME ABX triggers viruses

An astonishing new finding was released by John Travis in Science News
(July 2003;164). Travis reported that research performed by John F. Prescott
found that certain antibiotics, such as the fluoroquinolones, the class of
antibiotics that includes the name-brands and generic brands of Levaquin[R],
Cipro[R], Tequin[R], and Avelox[R], actually are known to trigger a type
of virus called bacteriophages (viruses that can infect bacteria) to change
the genetic sequencing of the bacteria, causing the bacterium they have
infected to start producing toxins. These viruses can act as genetic delivery
vans, invading bacteria, such as spirochetes, often lying dormant, until
activated by a change in the host (your body's) environment. Once activated,
these viruses insert their toxin-generating genes into the bacterial
chromosomes. These viruses can turn basically harmless bacterium into killers
through this genetic sequencing of toxins (Travis 2003).
- So now we see that not only are these toxins released through bacteria
die-off and not only can antibiotics actually increase the production of the
toxins, but these viruses can cause the bacteria to rupture, spilling
their toxins into the body (Waldor 2004).

Just one of the actions of these drugs is to deplete most of the magnesium
in the body - and magnesium is needed to make ATP and various things all
through the body. You literally die without magnesium - for starters you
would have a heart attack. Magnesium is what makes the tendons pliable -
magnesium relaxes the tendons as well as the muscles. Magnesium is seriously
needed by both the thyroid and the adrenals

As well as the nerves and muscles as well as the teeth and bones.

Levaquin and Cipro Reactions

In 2001, Dr. Jay S. Cohen published a ground-breaking article* on the
severe and often disabling reactions some people sustained while taking
Levaquin, Cipro, or another FQ antibiotic. Dr. Cohen says, "It is difficult to
describe the severity of these reactions. They are devastating. Many of the
people in my study were healthy before their reactions. Some were high
intensity athletes. Suddenly they were disabled, in terrible pain, unable to work,
walk, or sleep."
The 45 subjects in Dr. Cohen's study reported the following side effects*.

Peripheral Nervous System
: Tingling, numbness, prickling, burning pain, pins/needles sensation,
electrical or shooting pain, skin crawling, sensation, hyperesthesia,
hypoesthesia, allodynia (sensitivity to touch), numbness, weakness, twitching,
tremors, spasms.

Central Nervous System:
Dizziness, malaise, weakness, impaired coordination, nightmares, insomnia,
headaches, agitation, anxiety, panic attacks, disorientation, impaired
concentration or memory, confusion, depersonalization, hallucinations,
psychoses.

Musculoskeletal
: Muscle pain, weakness, soreness; joint swelling, pain; tendon pain,
ruptures.
Special Senses: Diminished or altered visual, olfactory, auditory
functioning, tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
Cardiovascular: Tachycardia, shortness of breath, hypertension,
palpitations, chest pain.

Skin:
Rash, swelling, hair loss, sweating, intolerance to heat and\or cold.

Gastrointestinal:
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain.

Many subjects reported multiple side effects from multiple systems. Dr.
Cohen found that 36 (80%) subjects had severe reactions. Many were still
disabled years after taking a FQ. Of the 45 subjects, 33 (74%) had taken
Levaquin, 11 (24%) Cipro.
