Re: [AlternativeAnswers] Re: Asthma

Firstly for those interested in magnesium research http://www.mgwater.com/
Then reading "The Magnesium Miracle" by Carolyn Dean MD and
her web site lots of healing stories.
The RDA is 450mg. But what does it mean. what the body uses is elemental
magnesium so as I said a magnesium oxide tablet of 500mg will only result in a 4% uptake
so all you would get is 20mg. No use.  I would be interested to know how many milligrams
jomarex used 8 times a day?
Personally I don't use pills. Avoid them where possible as I don't need to accumulate
binders and fillers and other stuff that go into making them. I would prefer capsule
or liquid or best spray. By the way it is a great deodorant without toxic ingredients like
parabens  I use the spray on magnesium chloride. The amount is on the side of the bottle. Initially I would
be inclined to spray more on for a week or too and then come back to the RDA of 450mg This is applied to the skin inside of arms, legs lower back. It is much better absorbed than oxide and so more gets into the blood.
Another consideration is blood tests of magnesium and calcium and iodine? The problem with magnesium . The blood test only measures a tiny amount of the 1% that is in the blood. The other 99% is not measured. So your doctor will test for magnesium and it may be good but what about the other 99%? You could be
deficient and it would show up as say cramps in the stomach, legs,or migraine, pmt etc  or the heart might
beat irregularly, known as arrhythmia which could be very dangerous.
Then he'll give you pills guessing the cause and the solution. And it will be wrong. Of course there are other possibilities like potassium deficiency.
Some habits like drinking, worrying, stress use up a lot of magnesium so how do you make it up to normal levels.
Well jomarex was helped by magnesium oxide don't know the values. But it is something you need all the time as food doesn't have the right amounts in due to poor farming methods and processing of food.
And it works best if you take multi B vitamins(natural not synthetic) with food. try (50mg each B vitamin) and see how it works for you. Best taken in the morning . Some people report it makes them energetic if taken at night and they can't sleep. Magnesium before you go to bed. It stings a little at first but not a problem.
A whole body test of magnesium is available the link is Exatest.com
I also use on occasion magnesium sulfate known as Epsom Salts. i teaspoon in a glass of water . See how it works and add a little or subtract a little to reach a comfortable level. preferably that is flouride free. It has relieved me of a lifetime of piles and irregularity.
