I have not had any dental x-rays in a long time, so my dentist wants to do full mouth x-rays. How often should x-rays of all the teeth be done and is there anything I should do to reduce the hazards of a full set of x-rays like having them done over a couple appointments, eating a pound of vitamin c afterwards, praying, etc? Or should I just let the dentist blaze away as they love doing-maybe because they can bill the insurance company for the x-rays? After all, they're not the ones at risk expecially since they bail out of the room to push the zap button to avoid the radiation they say is as harmless as flying in an airplane. Thanks for any replies.
