[AlternativeAnswers] new

 

I would like to introduct myself. I am a paraplegic who had a incomplete break of the spinal cord at the L3-L4 which means, my spinal cord was not severed. I have learned to walk, but there are days when my body does not want to work and I am often stuck in bed due to pain and because my body just does not want to work. I also have thyroid problems, , psoriasis, PCOS, and insulin resistance (metabolic syndrome). I also have anemia problems, magnesium defficiencies, and vitamin D deficiencies. These are the ones that I can think of off the top of my head. I'm a mess.
 
I am not able to become a vegetarian because of my medical problems. I am currently battling to keep the muscles that I do have and the nerves working as much as possible. My body does not always process vegetative matter as well as other people's bodies might. I did want to learn how to incorporate supplements, healing foods, or any other suggestions to better my health.
 
I currently take a multi vitamin daily. I have also started taking a water soluble iodine in liquid drop form to help my thyroid, and it works much better than the prescription medications that the doctor has prescribed to me. My skin has improved greatly in the last month that I have been on it. I drink green and herbal teas.
 
I look forward to learning from the group. I hope to lurk a bit. I'm sure I learn plenty just by reading the posts of others.
