I regularly use ground flax seed meal, never use whole because the body cannot access
the omega oils from the seed.
I make a little " porridge" with 1 1/2 Tablespoons of ground flaxseed meal with warm water. Let it sit and it will swell and then I just down it. BUT, the important thing is to
drink two big glasses of water with it or it turns into cement in your intestines and it could
cause constipation. I usually add some cinnamon and ginger because of their health benefits to make it taste better.
It can always be added to cereals, smoothies, oatmeal, or any dish if you dont like to take it straight. But it always works well for me in the morning, that way, 24 hours later after
waking, it causes smooth elimation. Some experimenting with amounts is necessary, cuz
1 Tablespoon might be enough, or too much can cause looser stools than desired. Also,
the more meat eaten , the more flax I add the next day.
This has been a lifesaver for me and it also has an added benefit from the flaxseed oil in
Let me know if you try it !

Hi all, I'm a lurker here but could use some help. I read that flax seed is good in fiber, well I do believe I need more fiber in my diet b/c I'm not going regular. Will taking flax seed help me to get regular? I'm also starting to take some probiotics. Thanks, Genevive
