Re: [AlternativeAnswers] allergies

Would you know if it is outdoors that the spots appear and get darker. It
could be from a sun allergy, hormonal changes or some other form of
dermatitis. When I am in the sun my arms and legs get tiny itchy red bumps. I
have to where sunscreen. I have to pat the itchy bumps with water and baking
soda mix, then apply witch hazel. I read that Vitamin B6 has a link to sun
allergy and dermatitis. I might try a B complex. For some people Turmeric
helped and others say Virgin Coconut oil helps. There is something called
Tinea Versicolor caused by yeast. Tinea versicolor is a common fungal
infection of the skin. The term versicolor refers to the fact that it causes the
affected skin to change color and become either lighter or darker than
surrounding skin.

There are so many skin conditions. Here is a web link. You can call the
American Academy of Dermatology maybe they would know your skin condition.

Pyridoxine should be taken together with the entire _B group vitamins_
(http://www.anyvitamins.com/vitamin-b-complex-info.htm) , and in supplementation
the quantity of B6 should be nearly the same as _B2_
(http://www.anyvitamins.com/vitamin-b2-riboflavin-info.htm) , as the B 2 is needed to activate
the Pyridoxine.
Good food sources to obtain pyridoxine from are brewer's yeast, eggs,
chicken, carrots, turnip greens, celery, fish, liver, kidneys, peas, bell
pepper, spinach, cabbage, asparagus, cauliflower, kale, garlic, cayenne, summer
squash, shitake mushrooms, wheat germ, walnuts. Large amounts of vitamin B6
are lost during most forms of cooking and processing.

Therapeutic doses are typically in the range of 50 mg to 200 mg per day,
consult with your doctor. Studies show that a time-released form of B6, or
several small doses throughout the day, has more effect than one single dose.
It is also best to take your supplement after a meal with a full glass of
water. Just as Vitamin B12 needs B6 to work properly, B6 performs best when
taken with magnesium, zinc and other B vitamins, especially vitamin B2.

Hi,

My wife is 57. These are definately not some brown spots on the skin (some
call them liver spots that come with age..i have them too). These are
patches that cover the cheeks, nose and forehead.

The reason that we believe this is an allergy is because these get
suddenly darker for no reason... thus suspecting some allergen. And they get
lighter after some days. But she has lost her original colour, and want to know
if it is possible to reverse this. She has other problems too, related to
allergens, we believe, such as severe itching on the body which suddenly
appears. She has to take symptomatic medicines to get rid of the itching, but
these have other side effects.

Thanks

Khushroo
