[AlternativeAnswers] allergies

Hi,

My wife is 57. These are definately not some brown spots on the skin (some call them liver spots that come with age..i have them too). These are patches that cover the cheeks, nose and forehead.

The reason that we believe this is an allergy is because these get suddenly darker for no reason... thus suspecting some allergen. And they get lighter after some days. But she has lost her original colour, and want to know if it is possible to reverse this. She has other problems too, related to allergens, we believe, such as severe itching on the body which suddenly appears. She has to take symptomatic medicines to get rid of the itching, but these have other side effects.

Thanks

Khushroo

We can use herbs that assist in cleansing the blood (oregon grape/dandelion) the Liver (milk thistle) and the brain (huperzine A and Ginkgo Biloba)

And what can we do to get rid of them? They are so ugly, especially on the back of the hands.

According to my Dermatologist, everyone over the age of 50 develops some brown spots on the skin.

How old is your wife?? It can be age spots if she is older and fair
skinned. So not sure about the allergy part. I have some yet I now
cover my face with a cap. I don't like it since I love the sun but it has
to be as I am fair skinned. My chiropractor is an expert in allergies and
he has never said anything about that.. Hope that may help. If it is a big
problem for her she can fade them with some cream but I don't want to
put that stuff on my skin. Sara

Hi! Sometimes the pigmentation is related to hormonal imbalance, even use of contraceptives. For her general health and because of the pigmentation she better consult also an endocrinologist. Best of luck! Tanya
