[AlternativeAnswers] High blood pressure/ rapid pulse

Dear friends, hopefully someone can give me some help here, just had a trip to the dr. I have always had low blood pressure, and yesterday and for the past 2 weeks it has been 130 to 140 systolic...80-95 diastolic...what concerns the Dr. is my rapid pulse, I have had a fast pulse since I had "graves disease",which was supposedly" taken care of with a "radioactive pill..(,many yrs ago)..the medication he ordered is "Atenol"...I have read the info on it and it should not be for me as I have my bouts with allergies, etc...I pray there is an alternative that will help me...excuse the length, but I could really use some help.Pulse is from 108-118. I am elderly female)
