I understand your concern.
Buscupan is actually a muscle relaxant and does not come under the same drug group as the others. It does not cause constipation and is indictated in cases of bowel spasm such as ibs and colitis.
I am in the UK and every doctor I see is aware of what medications I am being prescribed and am taking, I am not abusing either oxy nor seeing different doctors to get extra prescriptions.
Oxycontin is 12 hour modified release but I suffer breakthrough pain and have days worse than others. The oxycodone is instant release and prescribed for this breakthrough pain.
I have been refusing fentnyl patches for 4 years now.
I see my GP weekly and have my prescription re issued every friday. I only ever have a maximum of 7 days worth of medication in my possession and if I wasn't in severe pain I would not take them. I am allergic to codeine asprin and nsaids and was prescribed both oxy drugs by the chronic pain management team at my local hospital after referral from my surgeon and regular doctor.
I agree the synthetic morphine based drugs do suppress the CNS and cause a paralyzed colon also.
I have been on the laxatives since infancy due to the dysmotility.
I have been taking painkillers since my late teens, and had the controlled drugs added in my mid twenties.
My medications are not causing my problems nor making them worse, a bowel that will not work cannot be made to work by with holding pain meds I need to even stand up and get to the bathroom.
I feel you have assumed I am a drug addict that has caused my own problems due to addiction and you are wrong. If at 2 yrs old I was in the same position I am now with the state of my bowels, how do painkillers I didn't take until 18 years after cause this?
Everyones perception of pain is different.

Normally I just read but this time I feel the need to interject. What I
find rather strange are your medications. It is odd that you have two
simultaneously running scripts for oxycodone and oxycontin- they are
both central nervous system depressants, and it is unwise to use them
together and strange that a physician would prescribe both at the same
time. Buscopan, oxycodone and oxycontin all cause constipation. Why
would doctors give scripts that cause constipation to someone who
suffers from a chronic constipation issue.I do hope that all your
doctors are in communication with each other and each knows what the
other one is handing out. Some combinations can be dangerous and many of
your meds cause many of the problems you are suffering from -things just
don't seem right.
