Fwd: Re: [AlternativeAnswers] Re: central nerve pain

Oh yeah, when you do the ginger oil for the spleen qi, add in
Pericardium 6. Possibly Ren 12 if you're so inclined.

Hey, sorry it's taking me so long to get back to you. There's an
essential oil blend called PanAway. It's supposed to be a great pain
reliever. You should see if you can get that. It's by the Young Living
people. They are like an essential oil cult, but alot of there oils are
high quality. You might actually look into Rain Drop Therapy too. The
founder of Young Living claims to have cured himself of some sort of
severe injury to his spinal column using essential oils. That's how I
understand it anyway. That's what Rain Drop Therapy is. I do hear good
things about Rain Drop Therapy from my patients, although I've never had
it myself.
Anyway, see if you can find PanAway.

It's looking fairly expensive. Otherwise I'll give you a list of EOs
you can try. You want something that will move the blood. In TCM, we
say pain is caused by stagnation of qi and blood. If you move blood,
you will move qi. (They don't describe essential oils with reference to
qi.)
Anyway, you can try Camphor, Cinnamon, Frankincense, Onion, some say
Peppermint. Now keep in mind, some of these are cooling, some are
warming. If you tend to run hot, use something cooling. If you tend to
run cold, use something warming.
So here is your point prescription. Put the essential oil(s) on the
following points. Large Intestine 4, Liver 3. These are called the
"Four Gates." They will get qi and blood moving generally in your
body. Actually, they're the best points to move qi. Spleen 10 is the
best one for moving blood. Google the points to find out where to put
them. Also, Gall Bladder 34, but be careful with this one if you are
prone to heat and you are using a warming oil. You don't want to
overheat yourself.
You could also put them on Urinary Bladder 20, 18 and 17. These are on
the back. Swipe the oils all the way across the spine, and even in the
Jia Ji points next to the spine. You can also do Ren 17, on the front
of the chest. It will tonify qi, but also help it move.
You could also look into anti-spasmatics. Alot of these oils have
anti-spasmatic qualities.
Get some Ginger essential oil and put it on the following points. If
you tend to run hot, use Patchouli (neutral) or Peppermint (cooling.)
Spleen 3, 6. Stomach 36, Ren 6. That's for spleen, to help keep your
general energy/metabolism up and keep things moving.
If you're feeling depressed or overwhelmed, try Xiao Yao Wan. It's a
good herbal formula for that. "Free and Easy Wanderer."
Tell me about your friend who had a stroke. You BOTH need to see a good
acupuncturist. Find one who does herbs!
