Hello everyone. I have just joined this group. My mother has been diagnosed with the Parkinson's disease. She has been prescribed Carbidopa, which she has been taking for quite some time. This medication does not always help.
In addition to having the Parkinson's disease, having elevated blood pressure and being 83 years old, she does not sleep well at night. And, she needs help to get up to go to the bathroom. My brother has hired a woman to stay with her, but this woman needs more sleep than she is getting.
She says that my mother goes to the bathroom every hour and needs help to get up every time. She wants to get up almost every hour even when she is wearing a leek proof undergarment. Does anybody know if there is a way to help any of this? For two weeks my mother had been taking a medication that was supposed to make it unnecessary for her to urinate as frequently. She was going to the bathroom very frequently anyway.
