Re: [AlternativeAnswers] Living with Hasimoto's Disease

I suggest replacing the synthroid with Nature-throid or Armour.  Dr H Robertson prescribes natural thyroid--210-532-9791.

Natural thyroid medication, such as Armour thyroid, is better tolerated by some patients with hypothyroidism or Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Natural thyroid medication is made from dessicated pig thyroid glands, and contains a more complete set of the thyroid hormones, such as t1, t2, t3, and t4. Most synthetic thyroid medications, such as Synthroid or Cytomel, have only t3 or t4. Taking natural thyroid medication involves a different set of variables, and how to take natural thyroid medication properly is important information for thyroid patients.

Hello every one. My 33 y/o daughter has been quit ill for the past month, she went to her doctor who has diagnosed her with Hasimoto's.
She is vegan, very active and lives a rather productive life style.
Can any one suggest to us types of supplements which she can take or how she can deal with this and regain her life again.
Her doctor is treating her with synthroid at the moment-- I'm sure he will be adding more to her dosage--
I also take synthroid and really can not deal with this drug--although the dosage which I take is much lower then hers. I do not have Hasimoto's. In fact, no one else, that I'm aware of in the family does.
As a mother, how can I comfort her and help her through this difficult
time in her life--which, will affect her for the rest of her life?

Thank-you & God Bless all.
