Thank you for your reply, Andrew -- I am mostly looking for a gentle
yoga for strengthening my back, in which I have scoliosis and
experience regular back spasms. I like your description of what yoga
should be, as it often is not portrayed in that way. My son has been
doing kung fu for the last year, and started out appearing gangly and
clumsy, and I can really see how all the beginner students have
blossomed over the last year. His strength, balance and most
importantly his discipline has improved greatly. I need something for
both improving the strength in my back as well as something for
quietening my over-chatty 'monkey mind'.
