If you have a queen ant, chances are she has eggs hidden somewhere, so check the drawers, check boxes, check cupboards, getting rid of the queen/eggs sometimes means the rest go away at least for a while. One trick, not sure if it's been mentioned is to put honey in a pot and warm with borax. then pour the mixture on a small flat plastic lid on the floor or wherever the ants are showing up. They will come to drink and then die. They also don't like vinegar, so spraying down areas with it where they frequent will cut down on traffic.
