[AlternativeAnswers] Fantastic Fall: Crystals and Feng Shui

Good Morning!

Fantastic Fall: Crystals and Feng Shui

"Allow things in your life which make your heart sing, feed your soul
or nourish you on a daily basis."

(THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT STATEMENT, WHICH SHOULD BE APPLIED TO LIFE,
IN GENERAL!!)

In Feng Shui, the middle left side of a room, as determined if you
are standing at the room's entrance looking in, is known as the
health and family area. Enhancing the positive Qi energy in this area
contributes to positive physical health and emotional relationships.
If you're excited about what Feng Shui might be able to do in your
life, here's a outline for you:

CLUTTER = DEBT

* Thoroughly clean and de-clutter every part of your environment. Yes,
everything. Unfortunately, "there are no hiding places in Feng Shui."
That means you don't get any junk drawers, let alone any junk rooms.
Decluttering is important – maybe even potent enough to overcome your
resistence.

*Hanging faceted crystals are one of the most popular and widely used
Feng Shui cures. Hung in the windows, doorways and passageways of
your environment they are masters at slowing down negative energy.
Crystals have been known for centuries for their power to energize
and have been used as a healing tool for 1000's of years. They are
the ultimate symbol of the earth element.

*Metal is the element and White is the color of Fall. Utilize metal
(minerals, hematite, lodestone, magnatite) or white stones (quartz,
ulexite, albite, opal, howlite...) in a healing grid. Make the grid
anywhere you need to bring positive energy and light.

*Fixing maintenance problems. Leaky roof, stuck or hard-to-open
doors, anything broken or not working, and especially any leaking
faucets or toilets, since water represents wealth and cash flow.

* Yard and garden work. Prepare your garden for the following season.
Make sure the landscaping is attractive, inviting, orderly and well-
kept. Remove any dead or dying plants/leaves immediately. You don't
want any "dead" energy anywhere in your vibrant living space. Don't
let any plant material overgrow the walkways or obscure the front
door.

* Make the front door absolutely inviting. Think of
it as a beautiful still-life painting. Add color, harmony, contrast.
Energy enters through the front door, and you want to entice all the
Qi that you can. Anything that catches the eye because of its beauty
attracts beneficial Qi. Red doors are great for attracting Qi, if
that works with the decor of your house. Black is good, too.

* Make sure your lobby, foyer or front entry is inviting. It should
also create a welcome transition from the hectic pace of the outside
world to your own "sacred space" of tranquility.

*Round dining room tables symbolize heavenly blessings, and should
have an even number of chairs around them (even numbers being a sign
of good luck). And never have only one chair, as that's a clear-cut
symbol of loneliness. In fact, if you're single and you want to
stimulate the energy of relationships and marriage area, place pairs
of objects in this area -- two candlesticks or two photos, for
example.

*Stairways that face the front door imply that energy is flowing
right out the door every time you enter. Surround yourself with
beautiful pictures depicting nature or the open seas or birds in
flight, all of which will encourage the good flow of energy.

*Also remove those things you don't use, in the case of more
functional items like kitchen utensils or garden tools. This is an
evolutionary process, rather than something you can do overnight. You
have lots of things in your house and office that may not qualify
as "clutter," but neither do they make your heart sing, feed your
soul or nourish you on a daily basis.

*The goal of Feng Shui is to create a thoroughly nurturing
environment for you and your family. It can never adequately do that
if you're surrounded by things with bad memories attached, or that
don't vitalize you. In Feng Shui we learn that the things in our
environment either nurture us or deplete our energy. There is no
middle ground.
