Recipes: Lamb, Green Beans and Tomatoes

Good Morning!

Recipes: Lamb, Green Beans and Tomatoes

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 1/2 pounds lamb stew meat
1 large onion, chopped
2 pounds fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
1 (15 ounce) tomato sauce
1 cup water
salt and pepper to taste
2 teaspoons chopped fresh mint leaves

Directions

1.Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add lamb and onion and cook until meat is browned; stir in beans and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

2.Stir in tomato sauce, water, (pinch) salt, pepper and mint. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for about 1 hour or until cooked through and beans are tender.

Prepares in 20 minutes. Cook 1 hour. Recipe makes 4 to 6 servings

Side Dish: Pasta-rice Medley

Melt 2 teaspoons of butter in a small skillet and cook 1 cup fine egg noodles until toasted and golden brown. Combine the browned noodles in a saucepan with 1 cup long grain white or brown rice and 2 cans of chicken broth. Cover and bring to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Toss with fork and serve.

Re: periodontal disease

Diane..
You were blessed that it took you a short period of time to handle this
situation.. Mine has been so long and drawn out and I am basically dealing
with one tooth and gum area. I just can't stop the bleeding, but will not
give up. Have used what you did in addition to other remedies.
