[AlternativeAnswers] Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

Hello -- our daughter was born with FAS and may have been exposed to
marijuana and cocaine in-utero. Her birth mother can't remember what
she was taking when she was pregnant. Our daughter was in a medical
foster care home from age 2 months to 12 months (at which time we
adopted her), and she was very well looked after there, and received
physiotherapy for some of the motor difficulties she had. She walked
on time, talked early, and has never had any healthy problems. She's
15 now, and has trouble and pain from shortened muscles, which I have
read can be contributed to FAS. She does kung fu a couple of times a
week, and that's helping somewhat with the muscle issue. What I'm
wondering about is if there are other long-term issues we should be
watchful of as she gets older. Does FAS have long term effects on
health or ?? and is there anything we can do to help counteract the
damage that's been done?

Thanks
Andrea
