I had this persistent dry cough whenever I drank milk. I coughed for hours and hours, every day. Sometimes I coughed until I vomited, and then got some relief.
I suffered for 8 years until I discovered that it was due to the milk I drank.
Go see an allergist. He might be able to discover what your allergy is, as this seems to be an allergic reaction.
Good luck!
Harimy

Subject: [AlternativeAnswers] Persistant Dry Cough
After a year and a half, went to the doctor, she sent me to a Pulmonary Specialist, who gave me every test and medicine he could, said he didn't know why I was coughing and to come back in six months. Hah! Then I went to an ENT, who checked out my throat and repeated the same response. My cough has now escalated to coughing about every twenty minutes, constant irritation at the back of my throat and the cough is getting deeper, like honking. Help me!
