Sweet snacks can give you a short-term energy boost, but then can also leave you feeling worse later when your blood sugar drops.

Avoid alcohol, excess caffeine, drug stimulants, processed foods, excess sugar and cigarettes.

Fish that are high in Omega-3 are excellent ways to help your blood stream.

> Folic Acid: Folic Acid (required for energy production) is considered brain food. The brain needs it to work properly. It helps to prevent anxiety and fatigue. Folic acid works best when combined with vitamin C, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12. Much research has indicated that a deficiency of folic acid may include depression, insomnia, anorexia, forgetfulness, hyperirritability, apathy, fatigue and anxiety. You can find Folic Acid in the following foods: Whole grain breads -Fortified cereals -Dried peas- Dried beans -Leafy vegetables- Fruit. Most multivitamin complexes contain folic acid.

It also helps to reduce bad cholesterol and keep the heart healthy. You can get much of your selenium from dietary sources such as: Alfalfa, fennel seed, ginseng, butter, garlic, liver, Brazil nuts, shellfish and other fishes. You can find it in sunflower seeds, yarrow, wheat germ and Brewer's yeast.

> Vitamin B1: Vitamin B1 is also known as "thiamine." In many studies, B1 has shown to have positive effects on the nervous system and mental well being. Vitamin B1 is found in peas, soybeans, fortified breads, cereals, pasta, fish, pork, whole grains and dried beans. Prolonged intake of large amounts of alcohol depletes your body's supply of vitamin B1. Vitamin B3: (in the form niacinamide) has been tested in lab animals and seems to work in animals in the way that benzodiazepines such as Valium have.

> Vitamin B6: Lack of Vitamin B6 has been known to cause anxiety and depression. The formation of certain brain chemicals from amino acids requires this vitamin. It affects the nervous system. The recommended Dietary Allowances for adults (25+ years) is 2.0 for men and 1.6 for women. The best sources of vitamin B6 are meats (particularly organ meats such as liver), whole grains and wheat germ.

Though many studies have shown that this addictive stimulant can help produce symptoms of anxiety, insomnia and the like. Also, ask the doctor if there is an alternative medication if your medicine contains caffeine.

[AlternativeAnswers] Please help/cataracts/possible blindness/no health insurance

Dear group memembers, Hello. My name is Elbert Vaughn. I am new to the group.
Please, Please help me if you can. If you have any info, and/or any personal experiences on any ayurvedic medicine(topical eyedrops/oral medication) dissolving
cataracts/diminishing cataracts/halting the progression of cataracts or anything
positve about any ayurvedic medicine(non-surgical treatment for cataracts), treating cataracts, Please for the love of God, Please
get in contact with me. I have been diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes 5 months ago, caused by my diabetes. I have no health insurance and can never afford cataract sugery at this time. What I have dreaded has happend , and that is that diabetes would effect my eyes, because I knew I would never be able to afford any kind of sugery or laser surgery for my eyes, because I have no health insurance. I am frantically trying to try to obtain some affortable health insurnace, so I can pay for cataract sugergy
which I have been unable to obtain every since being diagnosed with diabetes 3 years ago. In the meantime I am hoping and praying I can find a non-surgical product to prevent me for possible going blind (which is constanly on my mind because I am a single father, and my kids most likely will be taken away from me(foster home).Cataracts in diabetics can progress very fast(they generally do) in diabetics. Especially if you cannot control your blood sugars. You can be blind within a year.
Please, please, please have mercy and reply to this message if you know anything that can help a person such as myself.

I am hoping a memember of the group has had
some personal experience of having success with ayurvedic products, or any products dissolving cataracts or
getting some positive results from any alternative non-surgical treatments of their cataracts. Let me say, it doesn't matter if it is ayurvedic products or not, any products will suffice. Any positve experience you may have or someone that you know may have had with a product that has been effective in the treatment of cataracts, please, please, please let me know. I have tried many
herabal products(5) off of the intenet(3 of those products I have tried all at one time, because time is of the
essence), and have not gotten
any positive results as far as my vision being improved. I have tried 3 ayurvedic products(ujala, isotine, Gangaamrit eyedrops. You can google all of them) I have taken them all at one time for about 3 months. I may not have taken them long enough. If anyone who is a memember of the group that has gotten any postive results from the taking of any one of the 3 eyedrops that I have just mentioned please share your story with me, because I am looking for hope of any product at the very least halting these cataracts so I can find some health insurance. Any advice, any opinion, anything you tell me that you think that would be helpful to me I will be appreciative and eternally grateful for anything you can tell me. That could possibly help me save my sight Thank you.
Elbert
