[AlternativeAnswers] Certification Program in Training Design at Mumbai (18th to 22nd March 2011)

The
legendary Birbal once fell out of favour with Emperor Akbar who demanded that Birbal be hanged
to death. Poor Birbal tried to get a
pardon in many ways but his efforts bore no fruit.

So
Birbal called a friend and said "Go to the Badshah and make a proposal. Tell
him if I train his favourite horse to fly in
twelve months, he should pardon me
for my fault."

The
friend said, "May be the Baadshah will accept your challenge, but how can you make such a ridiculous
demand?"

Birbal
said,

"What
do I lose? In the next twelve months, the horse may die-I get another horse and
another twelve months.  Or perhaps in the
next twelve months the horse may actually learn to fly! The Baadshah may also
crown his successor in which case I might get a pardon from him in the future! There is always a chance!"

Kudos
to Birbal's wit and presence of mind. But
the same funda when applied in training programs, fails to work! Many training
programs are undertaken in the pious hope that there is always a chance that
the participants may learn something!!
But nothing could be further from the truth.

Training
today
is not just about delivering the subject matter. It is a science and art that requires immense input in your training design in order to cater to the
requirements of an individual holistically. As a successful designer of training content, you need to:

Understand and incorporate the whole brained learning approach in your design

Understand the relevance of
experiential learning in training

Design training content
to cater to different personality styles

Design games and
exercises to draw out the learning relevant to your program objective

Develop training that ensures and maximises the Return On Investment

Address behavioural
modification through unlearning your Mindsets, Attitudes and Habits

If you wish to enjoy
the benefits of adding that extra spark to your T & D approach by enrolling for our 5 day Certification Program in Training Design
at Mumbai (18th to 22nd March 2011), you can contact us at diploma_tnd@oscarmurphy.com or call us at +91

RE: [AlternativeAnswers] Re: New Baby vacinations - Lisa

Thanks for this info Lisa! I'll likely have a few Homeopathy-related questions soon.
I'm passing it on to my daughter. Her own daughter (my 8 year old granddaughter Dakota) has mild autism, and constantly has ear infections & colds. She is going for a hearing test today because the family doctor thinks she may have hearing problems.
Thanks again!
Michael

Subject: Re: [AlternativeAnswers] Re: New Baby vacinations - Lisa

I have a Homeopath for my family. My daughter had serious problems with sinus issues which I feel were caused by antibiotic use and/or vaccinations. I think it is important to have a Homeopath, especially for chronic/serious conditions. Although, I did take an introductory course on Homeopathy from Sheri Nakken, the owner of the Vaccinations group on Yahoo. She is a Homeopath and teaches a few courses on Vaccinations and Homeopathy. I do treat acute conditions (colds/flu type stuff) and knowing the types of remedies that your family has used does help. I rarely have to use the Homeopath anymore. My kids only get sick maybe once or twice a year, then they are fine. Even when they get sick they usually handle it themselves and I don't have to give them anything for it. I also must point out that eating decently helps too. I limit the sugars, and junky foods. They eat vegetables, fruits, etc.

You helped remind me of something else that I should have pointed out in my original message. My daughter with the sinus issues who was fully vaccinated is the only child out of 4 who had those issues! She had ear aches, sinus/adenoid problems. None of my other children did. I originally thought it was a hereditary thing since my husband had issues as a child too. No, it was a vaccine reaction. She also had a real horrible rash on her forehead as a less than 3 month old infant. I can remember too, the nurses at the first pediatricians office acted all weird and had "no idea" what was wrong. I took her to another office because I thought it strange they had no idea what it could be. Well this pediatrician said it was cradle cap. Now being a first time mom I had no idea and figured he knew what he was talking about. That was not cradle cap on the forehead.... Vaccine chemicals going to the brain and that is the way her body was trying to get rid of them.... There were other things that were wrong with her that I now see could have been the result of vaccine damage. I just am so glad for Homeopathy and the fact I nursed her. Honestly, there is no telling how she would have been had I not found Homeopathy. She probably would be very sickly and on medications, that I can be sure of.

Ok, well sorry for going on a tangent...

Lisa

Hi Lisa -
You 'do' your own Homeopathy, or go to someone for it?
Thanks -

[AlternativeAnswers] New Guidelines for Prostate Screening

Good Morning!

New Guidelines for Prostate Screening

New guidelines for prostate cancer screening were released, stressing that doctors should inform patients about the pros and cons of using the PSA test for screening.

It suggested the end of mass prostate-screening programs at health fairs and a
cut down in the utilization of digital rectal exams to locate tumors.

Durango Brooks, the Society's Director of Prostate and Colorectal Cancers, said,
"The new guidelines give information on the discussions doctors and patients
need to have before any blood is drawn. Screening should not take place in the
absence of informed decision-making".

The American Cancer Society revised these guidelines after many studies advised
that tumors identified by PSA screening are insignificant and that biopsies and
treatment is more harmful than the tumors and that "false positives" are very
possible.

PLEASE NOTE: with these new guidelines, it is VERY IMPORTANT to say that
prostate cancer in men is still a major killer. The chance of having prostate
problems tends to increase equally as a man ages. For instance, a man who is 50
years old has a 50% chance of having prostate issues. 60 years old, 60% chance
and so on. Besides age, family history is the only other risk indicator.

DO NOT IGNORE THIS FACT.

Prostate Cancer can develop in 1 out of 8 American men and 80% of all cases
occur in men over 65. For early detection of prostate cancer, the American
Cancer Society recommends that all men after the age of 40, have a digital
rectal exam (DRE) and that all men after the age of 50 have a PSA (Prostate
Specific Antigen) test.

Just remember, that the American Cancer Society is making these new guidelines
to make men aware of these new findings. It is NOT a call to ignore screenings
or for men to give this issue less importance.

There has been a direct correlation between obesity, diabetes and high glucose
levels, which contribute to BHP.

One of the single most preventatives is a proper diet. Because diet strongly
influences sex hormone production, including testosterone, it is important to
cut back on excess meat consumption (which triples the risk), full fat, dairy
products (which doubles the risk) and a lack of vegetables and fruits in the
diet (which quadruple the risk).
