I hope some of you wonderful people can give me some suggestions. I started coughing four days ago and still coughing. When i lay down at night, or try, I hear a slight wheezing that keeps me awake between the coughing.

I almost feel like it could be bronchitis as I had something like that last spring. Went to the doctor then got a breathing treatment, first ever, and a prescription for either a steroid or prednisone not sure which. After I took that most of my tasting ability disappeared so all my favorite foods smell wonderful but have very little if any taste. The only taste seems to be bitter. Even the strong taste of salt and vinegar Chips that used to make my lips pucker doesnt do anything now. Well anyway I dont want to go that route again. So if anyone had suggestions to help with the lung stuff or taste bud stuff i would greatly appreciate it.

With much thanks
Sonja

Re: [AlternativeAnswers] Does anyone have any experience of oil pulling?

Yes I have done oil pulling on and off for years now.  Sounds to me like you are just releasing the toxins that the oil pulling says it does.  Good for you!  I love it!  I have always had great results with it and it always brightens my skin and whitens my teeth and they feel healthier too.  Remember, when starting any detoxing program or excercise there is the risk of a healing crisis, where for a short time you can feel worse...but when you get through it everything is usually much better.

Does anyone have any experience of oil pulling?m I would be interested to know other`s experiences. I started it this week and I got a sore throat and a runny nose and I have a metallic taste in my mouth. Already my skin feels nice and I have more energy. I will persist in spite of the side effects.

Why buy expensive organic shampoo and conditioner when you can use two cheap ingredients you probably already have at home?

Baking soda and vinegar work well to get your hair clean, shiny, soft and healthy.

And I mean truly healthy - unlike other hair products that contain chemicals (like mineral oil) to cover hair strands, merely giving the illusion of healthy hair.

For those who have soft water, ditching the chemical brews you call shampoo and conditioner is a breeze.

Adding about 1 tablespoon to 8 ounces of water and mixing it up is all you need for "shampoo." Adding about an ounce of vinegar to 8-16 ounces of water makes a great conditioner and hair detangler.

Hard water poses more of a challenge. But by boiling the water first (generally a rolling boil for about 10 minutes) a lot of minerals can be removed. Then you can dissolve the baking soda effortlessly and use that to shampoo your hair. You don't need to boil water for the vinegar rinse.
