Re: [AlternativeAnswers] viral conjunctivitis

Hi Mr.Linda

Am Dr.pandiamunian MBBS, MD ,Dip in Diabetes.,                 I came into this website to look for alternative medicines for certain incurable diseases in modern  medicine .           First of all , i want to know how you came to know as it is viral ? There is no specific test other than culturing the secretion can prove whether the conjunctivitis is bacterial or viral.       As you say , if yours is viral it should be self limiting , but it is there for seven days.      And if it is viral , it needs artificial tears and anti histamines as local application and cold compression .      If u did not confirm as viral , please install antibacterial eye drops as early as possible. like Ofloxacin eye drop one drop in each eye sixth hourly.              Get wel soon ...................!

Antibiotics do not get rid of viruses.

Subject: [AlternativeAnswers] viral conjunctivitis

Any suggestions on how to treat viral conjunctivitis? I have been fighting

a bad cold virus for over a week now and none of my usual cold-fighting

treatments are working with this one, it is extremely resistant to eveything

I try - echinacea, garlic, colloidal silver etc etc. I have even had to

resort to strong cold/flu tablets and so far nothing has really worked, and

now to top it off I have viral conjunctivitis in both eyes! Am intending to

go to clinic this morning and make an appt to see Dr...hopefully today and

may have to resort this time to strong anti-biotics (ugghhh) as a last ditch

resort to ditch this damn virus.

cheers

Lyndall

Chinese Medicine=
Traditional Chinese medicine (中医, pinyin: zhōng yī), also known as TCM, includes
a range of traditional medicine practices originating in China. Although a
common part of medical care throughout East Asia, it is considered an
alternative medical system in much of the Western world.
TCM therapy largely consists of Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, dietary
therapy, and tui na massage. The health promoting aspects of qigong and
taijiquan are also closely associated with it. Main aspects of TCM's concept of
the human body, health, and disease, are yin and yang, the Five Elements (五行,
pinyin: wǔxíng), the zàng-fú (脏腑) organs, qì, xuě (血, ''blood''), meridians and
the liù yín (六淫, lit. ''six excesses'', usually translated with Six Exogenous
Pathogenic Factors).
Modern TCM was systematized in the 1950s under the People's Republic of China
and Mao Zedong. Prior to this, Chinese medicine was mainly practiced within
family lineage systems. The term "Classical Chinese medicine" (CCM) usually
refers these medical practices that rely on theories and methods dating from
before the fall of the Qing Dynasty (1911).

Hi Everyone,
i was wondering - is there a difference between the terms we use -

1. Natural Medcine
2. Alternative Medicine
3. Holistic Medicine
4. CAM Medicine
7. Chinese / Eastern Medicine

are these pretty much saying the same thing just using different words?

Thanks !

Re: [AlternativeAnswers] Natural remedy for taste and smell loss?

Essential oil of basil will help the sense of smell return in some cases. If it
were me, I'd put a drop under my big toe every night for starters

Subject: [AlternativeAnswers] Natural remedy for taste and smell loss?

Hello,

A friend of mine lost his taste and smell senses completely some months ago. He
saw some doctors, but so far nobody could diagnose his problem.
He began complaining after a dental cleanse and taking some antibiotics.
Does anyone know any natural solution?

Rena
