Healing the Mind
The body cannot heal, because it cannot MAKE ITSELF SICK. It NEEDS no healing.
Its health or sickness depends ENTIRELY on how the mind perceives it, and the
purpose that the mind would use it FOR. And it IS obvious that a segment of the
mind CAN see itself as SEPARATED from the Universal Purpose. When this occurs,
the body becomes its weapon, used AGAINST this Purpose to DEMONSTRATE the "fact"
that separation HAS occurred. The body thus becomes the instrument of illusion,
acting accordingly; SEEING what is not there, HEARING what truth has never said,
and BEHAVING INSANELY, being imprisoned BY insanity.
Do not overlook our earlier statement that faithlessness leads straight to
illusions. For faithlessness IS the perception of a brother AS a body, and the
body CANNOT be used for purposes of union. If, then, you SEE him as a body, YOU
have established a condition in which UNITING with him becomes impossible. Your
FAITHLESSNESS to him has separated you FROM him, and kept you BOTH apart from
being healed. Your faithlessness has thus OPPOSED the Holy Spirit's purpose, and
brought illusions, CENTERED ON THE BODY, to stand BETWEEN you. And the body WILL
seem to be sick, for you have made of it an "enemy" of healing, and the OPPOSITE
of truth.
It CANNOT be difficult to realize that faith MUST be the opposite of
faithLESSness. But the difference in how they operate is less apparent, though
it follows directly from the fundamental difference in what they ARE.
Faithlessness would always LIMIT AND ATTACK; faith would remove ALL limitations,
and MAKE WHOLE. Faithlessness would destroy and SEPARATE; faith would unite and
HEAL. Faithlessness would interpose illusions between the Son of God and his
Creator; faith would remove ALL obstacles that SEEM to rise between them.
Faithlessness is wholly dedicated to illusions; faith wholly to truth.
PARTIAL DEDICATION IS IMPOSSIBLE. Truth is the ABSENCE of illusion; illusion the
ABSENCE of truth. Both cannot BE together, nor perceived in the SAME PLACE. To
dedicate yourself to BOTH, is to set up a goal forever impossible to attain. For
PART of it is sought through the body, THOUGHT OF as a means for seeking out
reality through ATTACK. While the OTHER part would HEAL, and therefore calls
upon the mind, and NOT the body. The INEVITABLE compromise is the belief that
the BODY must be healed, and NOT the mind. For this divided goal has given both
an EQUAL reality, and can SEEM to be possible only if the mind is limited TO the
body, and divided into little parts with SEEMING wholeness, but WITHOUT
CONNECTION.
This will NOT harm the body. But it WILL keep the delusional thought-system IN
THE MIND. Here, then, is healing needed. And it is here that healing IS. For God
gave healing not APART from sickness, nor established remedy where sickness
CANNOT be. They ARE together, and when they are SEEN together, ALL attempts to
KEEP both truth AND illusion in the mind, where both MUST be, are recognized as
DEDICATION TO ILLUSION. And GIVEN UP when BROUGHT to truth, and seen as totally
UNRECONCILABLE with truth, in ANY aspect, or in any WAY.
Truth and illusion HAVE no connection. This will remain FOREVER true, however
much YOU seek to connect them. But ILLUSIONS are ALWAYS connected, AS IS TRUTH.
Each is united, a COMPLETE thought-system, but totally DISconnected to EACH
OTHER. Where there is NO overlap, there separation MUST be complete. And to
perceive THIS is to recognize where separation IS, and WHERE IT MUST BE HEALED.
The RESULT of an idea is NEVER separate from its source. The IDEA of separation
PRODUCED the body, and remains connected TO it, MAKING it sick because of its
identification WITH it.
You THINK you are PROTECTING the body by HIDING this connection. For this
concealment SEEMS to keep your identification safe from the "attack" of truth.
If you but understood how much this strange concealment has hurt your mind, and
how confused your own identification has become to you, BECAUSE of it! You do
not see how great the devastation wrought by your faithlessness. For
faithlessness is an attack, which SEEMS to be justified by its RESULTS. For, by
withholding faith, you see only what IS unworthy of it, and cannot look BEYOND
the barrier to what is joined with you.
To have faith is to heal. It is the sign that you have accepted the Atonement
for yourself, and would therefore SHARE it. By faith, you offer the gift of
freedom from the past, which you have received. You do not use anything your
brother has done before to condemn him NOW. You freely choose to overlook his
errors, looking past all barriers between your self and his, and seeing them as
one. And, in that one, you see your faith is fully justified. There IS no
justification for faithlessness. but faith is ALWAYS justified.
Faith is the OPPOSITE of fear, as much a part of love, as fear is of attack.
Faith is the acknowledgment of UNION. It is the gracious acknowledgment of
everyone as a Son of your most loving Father, loved by Him as you, and therefore
loved by you as yourself. It is HIS Love that joins you, and FOR His Love you
would keep no one separate from YOURS. Each one APPEARS just as he is perceived
in the holy instant, united in YOUR purpose to be RELEASED from guilt. You saw
the Christ in him, and he was healed, because you looked on what makes faith
FOREVER justified in EVERYONE.
Faith is the gift of God, through Him Whom God has GIVEN you. Faithlessness
looks upon the Son of God, and judges him UNWORTHY of forgiveness. But, through
the eyes of faith, the Son of God is seen ALREADY forgiven, free of all the
guilt he laid upon himself. Faith sees him only NOW, because it looks not to the
past to judge him, but would see in him ONLY what it would see in YOU. It sees
NOT through the body's eyes, nor looks to bodies for its justification. It is
the messenger of the NEW perception, sent forth to gather witnesses unto its
coming, and to return their messages to YOU.
Faith is as easily exchanged for knowledge as is the real world. For faith
ARISES from the Holy Spirit's perception, and is the sign you share it WITH Him.
Faith is a gift you offer to the Son of God THROUGH Him, and WHOLLY acceptable
to his Father as to him. And therefore offered YOU. Your holy relationship, with
its NEW purpose, offers you faith to give unto EACH OTHER. Your faithlessness
had driven you APART, and so you did not RECOGNIZE salvation in each other. But
faith UNITES you in the holiness you see, NOT through the body's eyes, but in
the sight of Him Who joined you, and in Whom YOU are united.
Grace is not given to a BODY, but to a MIND. And the mind that RECEIVES it,
looks INSTANTLY beyond the body, and sees the holy place where IT was healed.
THERE is the altar where the grace was given, in which IT stands. Do you, then,
offer grace and BLESSING to each other, for you stand at the SAME altar, where
grace was laid for BOTH of you. And be you healed by grace TOGETHER, that YOU
may heal through faith.
In the holy instant, you stand before the altar God has raised unto Himself and
BOTH of you. Lay faithlessness aside, and come to it TOGETHER. There will you
see the miracle of your relationship, as it was MADE AGAIN through faith. And
there it is that you will realize that there is NOTHING faith can NOT forgive.
NO error INTERFERES with its calm sight, which brings the miracle of healing
with equal ease to ALL of them. For what the messengers of love are sent to do
THEY DO. Returning the glad tidings that it was done, to you who stand before
the altar from which they were sent forth, TOGETHER.
As faithlessness will keep your little kingdoms barren and separate, so will
faith help the Holy Spirit prepare the ground for the most holy garden that He
would make of it. For faith brings peace, and so it calls on truth to enter and
make lovely, what has already BEEN prepared for loveliness. Truth FOLLOWS faith
and peace, completing the process of making lovely that they begin. For faith is
still a learning goal, no longer needed when the lesson has been learned. But
Truth will stay forever.Let, then, your dedication be to the eternal. And learn
how NOT to interfere with it, and make it slave to time. For what you think you
do to the eternal, you do to YOU. Whom God created as His Son is slave to
nothing, being lord of all, along with his Creator. You CAN enslave a body, but
an IDEA is free, INCAPABLE of being kept in prison, or limited in ANY way,
EXCEPT BY THE MIND THAT THOUGHT IT. For it remains JOINED to its source, which
is its jailer or its liberator, according to which it chooses as ITS purpose FOR
ITSELF.

Subject: [AlternativeAnswers] Thanks for prayers. Need further prayers

Hello,

Last time I requested for prayers for my mother. She is well now. Thank you very
much for your prayers. I am greatful.

However, again I am in trouble as my 15 year old daughter suffered from facial
nerve palsy. She finds it fifficult to move one part her facial muscles.
Treatment is going on mostly physiotherapy. Kindly pray for my daughter Siddhi
so that this illness is cured and she becomes normal and gets better life ahead.
God bless you with better health and abundence of happiness.

Good Morning!

Exercise As An Anti-Aging Tool

Researchers divided 235 sedentary men and women into two groups. One
group did traditional structured exercise 20-60 minutes continuously.
The other group incorporated into their day brisk walks, stair
climbing and other moderate-intensity lifestyle activities. After 6
months, both groups had similar improvements in blood cholesterol,
blood pressure and percentage of body fat. The structured exercisers
gained more cardiovascular fitness. But the point is, the moderate-
intensity folks did benefit. [1].

A group of sedentary, obese women lost 17 to 23 pounds over a period
of 20 weeks by walking for ten minutes 5 days a week. At first, they
walked twice a day, then worked up to four times a day. If you are
not overweight, lifestyle activities probably won't help you shed
pounds. But they may help you convert fat to lean muscle.

Structured exercise in longer sessions is better for you. But
something is better than nothing. For sedentary folks — those who are
physically inactive — lifestyle activity can still give you some of
the same cardiovascular benefits of exercise. Served up in dollops, >
it's easier to fit into your day.

How to do it

By increasing lifestyle activities each day, try doing four 10-minute
increases at least five days a week. The idea is to just do more of
what you are already doing. Here are some great ideas on getting
motivated:

*Walk, don't drive.

*Take the stairs at the office — not the elevator.

*Play with your kids instead of watching them play.

*Bike to the store.

*Stretch while you watch TV.

*Get up from the sofa to change the channel. Channel surfers get
quite a workout.

*Park at the opposite end of the mall from where you're headed.

*If you've got an exercise bike at home, peddle away for 5 minutes
while you're talking on the phone or waiting for the washing machine
to finish.

*Walk the treadmill while watching a favorite TV program.

*Listen to music and dance your way through housecleaning.

*Start slow — a few minutes at first. Then, pick up the pace and go
longer.

*Workout clothes are not necessary, but wear good walking shoes.

*Don't let missing a few days become your excuse to quit.

*Even if you miss a few days, you won't lose all the benefits you've
gained.

*Be flexible. Do what you can when you can.

*Take advantage of opportunities. If you're watching your child's
soccer game, walk around the field.

*Playing golf? Skip the cart.

*Find a partner. Climbing stairs at the office will be far more
interesting if you chat away the minutes with a co-worker.

*Instead of building your life around exercise, build exercise around
your life. [2]

1. Aerobics: The word aerobic literally means "with oxygen" or "in
the presence of oxygen." Aerobic exercise is any activity that uses
large muscle groups, can be maintained continuously for a long period
of time and is rhythmic in nature. Aerobic activity trains the heart,
lungs and cardiovascular system to process and deliver oxygen more
quickly and efficiently to every part of the body. As the heart
muscle becomes stronger and more efficient, a larger amount of blood
can be pumped with each stroke. Fewer strokes are then required to
rapidly transport oxygen to all parts of the body. An aerobically fit
individual can work longer, more vigorously and achieve a quicker
recovery at the end of the aerobic session.

2. Mind Quieting: A disciplined mind is a free mind. Gain control
over your thoughts and you maintain control over your life. Retrain
your mind and you regain your freedom. Calming the mind is a
behavioral technique used to interupt, minimize and
eliminate "psychological noise". Obsessive, repeatitive thoughts,
anxiety and fears are all apart of negative, self-destructive
patterns that can benefit from the power of music and mind quieting.

3. Breathing: Breath is life! Exchange of electrons. Flow of energy.
Air is the primary nutrient. Survival without it is measured in
minutes. It is so important that you do it without thinking. Your
breathing is the voice of your spirit. It's depth, smoothness, sound,
and rate reflect your mood. If you become aware of your breath and
breathe the way you do when you are calm you will become calm.
Practicing regular, mindful breathing can be calming and energizing.
With the addition of music and it's rhythm, the "musical breath" can
even help stress-related health problems ranging from panic attacks
to digestive disorders. Fall into the rhythm of the music and
breathe. Focus on your breathing and the music.

4. Weight Bearing: exercise stimulates tissue growth in bone and
muscles, strengthening the body's structure. A stronger skeleton
reduces the risk of osteoporosis, arthritic joint pain and other bone
conditions. Also known as resistance training, weight-bearing
exercise can be any activity that involves carrying, lifting or
pushing a heavy object. Walking is considered to be weight bearing,
as muscles and the skeleton support body weight. You do not need
to `pump iron' to benefit from this form of exercise.

5. Yoga: Many different types of yoga workouts exist. But many times
in our quest for fitness and a hard body, At some point it becomes
just a workout and not yoga. If you come to this path with fitness in
mind that is important, but Yoga is extremely powerful. If you try to
rush it, you will only slow yourself down. Yoga is not mind over
body. It is harmony between them. In yoga, the mind is used to
perceive (diagnose) and guide (heal) the body. Not to "control" it
and never to force it.

6. Stretching: Just as there are different types of flexibility,
there are also different types of stretching. Stretches are either
dynamic (meaning they involve motion) or static (meaning they involve
no motion). Dynamic stretches affect dynamic flexibility and static
stretches affect static flexibility (and dynamic flexibility to some
degree).

7. Power Walking: Studies have suggested a link between increased
physical activity and a decreased chance for developing disease in
general. Exercise of any kind trims your odds by improving the body's
sensitivity to insulin-a hormone, helps control cholesterol, weight,
and blood pressure, which further guards you from adult-onset of
disease.

8. Swimming: It's hard to beat swimming when it comes to a sport that
builds the body, soothes the mind, regulates breathing, stimulates
circulation, and puts no stress on the joints. That's why it's an
ideal exercise for just about everyone -- old people, overweight
people, young people, people with hip, knee and ankle problems, and
active people with no health problems at all. Plus, swimming has a
calorie-burning potential of 350-420 calories per hour. No wonder
it's one of the most popular fitness sports around.

9. Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Aikido: TaiChi, QiGong, Aikido- these Asian art
forms have been practiced for centuries. QiQong is one of the four
pillars of traditional Chinese medicine: Acupuncture, Massage, Herbal
Medicines and Qigong. Of these, Qigong is the one that can be most
easily self initiated. Both massage and herbal remedies can also be
done as self care, however, Qigong is the mother of Chinese self
healing. Patients who use Qigong faithfully need less medication,
less acupuncture and heal faster.

Tai Chi is a martial arts form that enhances balance and body
awareness through slow, graceful, and precise body movements, can
significantly cut the risk of falls among older people and may be
beneficial in maintaining gains made by people age 70 and older who
undergo other types of balance and strength training.

Aikido is a Japanese martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba (often
referred to by his title 'O Sensei' or 'Great Teacher'). On a purely
physical level it is an art involving some throws and joint locks
that are derived from Jujitsu and some throws and other techniques
derived from Kenjutsu. Aikido focuses not on punching or kicking
opponents, but rather on using their own energy to gain control of
them or to throw them away from you.

10. Elastic Bands: Resistance training is the benefit of elastic
bands or tubing. As long as we have gravity, we can challenge our
muscles effectively. Doing a push-up is one example of a resistance
exercise. Instead of using weight from another source, you're using
your body weight to challenge your chest and arm muscles, and you
will get toned up just as well as you would using a pec deck or a
bench press. Elastic tubing and bands are great for those who want to
get the benefits of weight training without using traditional
weights.

Good Morning!

Exercise As An Anti-Aging Tool

Researchers divided 235 sedentary men and women into two groups. One
group did traditional structured exercise 20-60 minutes continuously.
The other group incorporated into their day brisk walks, stair
climbing and other moderate-intensity lifestyle activities. After 6
months, both groups had similar improvements in blood cholesterol,
blood pressure and percentage of body fat. The structured exercisers
gained more cardiovascular fitness. But the point is, the moderate-
intensity folks did benefit. [1].

A group of sedentary, obese women lost 17 to 23 pounds over a period
of 20 weeks by walking for ten minutes 5 days a week. At first, they
walked twice a day, then worked up to four times a day. If you are
not overweight, lifestyle activities probably won't help you shed
pounds. But they may help you convert fat to lean muscle.

Structured exercise in longer sessions is better for you. But
something is better than nothing. For sedentary folks — those who are
physically inactive — lifestyle activity can still give you some of
the same cardiovascular benefits of exercise. Served up in dollops, >
it's easier to fit into your day.

How to do it

By increasing lifestyle activities each day, try doing four 10-minute
increases at least five days a week. The idea is to just do more of
what you are already doing. Here are some great ideas on getting
motivated:

*Walk, don't drive.

*Take the stairs at the office — not the elevator.

*Play with your kids instead of watching them play.

*Bike to the store.

*Stretch while you watch TV.

*Get up from the sofa to change the channel. Channel surfers get
quite a workout.

*Park at the opposite end of the mall from where you're headed.

*If you've got an exercise bike at home, peddle away for 5 minutes
while you're talking on the phone or waiting for the washing machine
to finish.

*Walk the treadmill while watching a favorite TV program.

*Listen to music and dance your way through housecleaning.

*Start slow — a few minutes at first. Then, pick up the pace and go
longer.

*Workout clothes are not necessary, but wear good walking shoes.

*Don't let missing a few days become your excuse to quit.

*Even if you miss a few days, you won't lose all the benefits you've
gained.

*Be flexible. Do what you can when you can.

*Take advantage of opportunities. If you're watching your child's
soccer game, walk around the field.

*Playing golf? Skip the cart.

*Find a partner. Climbing stairs at the office will be far more
interesting if you chat away the minutes with a co-worker.

*Instead of building your life around exercise, build exercise around
your life. [2]

1. Aerobics: The word aerobic literally means "with oxygen" or "in
the presence of oxygen." Aerobic exercise is any activity that uses
large muscle groups, can be maintained continuously for a long period
of time and is rhythmic in nature. Aerobic activity trains the heart,
lungs and cardiovascular system to process and deliver oxygen more
quickly and efficiently to every part of the body. As the heart
muscle becomes stronger and more efficient, a larger amount of blood
can be pumped with each stroke. Fewer strokes are then required to
rapidly transport oxygen to all parts of the body. An aerobically fit
individual can work longer, more vigorously and achieve a quicker
recovery at the end of the aerobic session.

2. Mind Quieting: A disciplined mind is a free mind. Gain control
over your thoughts and you maintain control over your life. Retrain
your mind and you regain your freedom. Calming the mind is a
behavioral technique used to interupt, minimize and
eliminate "psychological noise". Obsessive, repeatitive thoughts,
anxiety and fears are all apart of negative, self-destructive
patterns that can benefit from the power of music and mind quieting.

3. Breathing: Breath is life! Exchange of electrons. Flow of energy.
Air is the primary nutrient. Survival without it is measured in
minutes. It is so important that you do it without thinking. Your
breathing is the voice of your spirit. It's depth, smoothness, sound,
and rate reflect your mood. If you become aware of your breath and
breathe the way you do when you are calm you will become calm.
Practicing regular, mindful breathing can be calming and energizing.
With the addition of music and it's rhythm, the "musical breath" can
even help stress-related health problems ranging from panic attacks
to digestive disorders. Fall into the rhythm of the music and
breathe. Focus on your breathing and the music.

4. Weight Bearing: exercise stimulates tissue growth in bone and
muscles, strengthening the body's structure. A stronger skeleton
reduces the risk of osteoporosis, arthritic joint pain and other bone
conditions. Also known as resistance training, weight-bearing
exercise can be any activity that involves carrying, lifting or
pushing a heavy object. Walking is considered to be weight bearing,
as muscles and the skeleton support body weight. You do not need
to `pump iron' to benefit from this form of exercise.

5. Yoga: Many different types of yoga workouts exist. But many times
in our quest for fitness and a hard body, At some point it becomes
just a workout and not yoga. If you come to this path with fitness in
mind that is important, but Yoga is extremely powerful. If you try to
rush it, you will only slow yourself down. Yoga is not mind over
body. It is harmony between them. In yoga, the mind is used to
perceive (diagnose) and guide (heal) the body. Not to "control" it
and never to force it.

6. Stretching: Just as there are different types of flexibility,
there are also different types of stretching. Stretches are either
dynamic (meaning they involve motion) or static (meaning they involve
no motion). Dynamic stretches affect dynamic flexibility and static
stretches affect static flexibility (and dynamic flexibility to some
degree).

7. Power Walking: Studies have suggested a link between increased
physical activity and a decreased chance for developing disease in
general. Exercise of any kind trims your odds by improving the body's
sensitivity to insulin-a hormone, helps control cholesterol, weight,
and blood pressure, which further guards you from adult-onset of
disease.

8. Swimming: It's hard to beat swimming when it comes to a sport that
builds the body, soothes the mind, regulates breathing, stimulates
circulation, and puts no stress on the joints. That's why it's an
ideal exercise for just about everyone -- old people, overweight
people, young people, people with hip, knee and ankle problems, and
active people with no health problems at all. Plus, swimming has a
calorie-burning potential of 350-420 calories per hour. No wonder
it's one of the most popular fitness sports around.

9. Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Aikido: TaiChi, QiGong, Aikido- these Asian art
forms have been practiced for centuries. QiQong is one of the four
pillars of traditional Chinese medicine: Acupuncture, Massage, Herbal
Medicines and Qigong. Of these, Qigong is the one that can be most
easily self initiated. Both massage and herbal remedies can also be
done as self care, however, Qigong is the mother of Chinese self
healing. Patients who use Qigong faithfully need less medication,
less acupuncture and heal faster.

Tai Chi is a martial arts form that enhances balance and body
awareness through slow, graceful, and precise body movements, can
significantly cut the risk of falls among older people and may be
beneficial in maintaining gains made by people age 70 and older who
undergo other types of balance and strength training.

Aikido is a Japanese martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba (often
referred to by his title 'O Sensei' or 'Great Teacher'). On a purely
physical level it is an art involving some throws and joint locks
that are derived from Jujitsu and some throws and other techniques
derived from Kenjutsu. Aikido focuses not on punching or kicking
opponents, but rather on using their own energy to gain control of
them or to throw them away from you.

10. Elastic Bands: Resistance training is the benefit of elastic
bands or tubing. As long as we have gravity, we can challenge our
muscles effectively. Doing a push-up is one example of a resistance
exercise. Instead of using weight from another source, you're using
your body weight to challenge your chest and arm muscles, and you
will get toned up just as well as you would using a pec deck or a
bench press. Elastic tubing and bands are great for those who want to
get the benefits of weight training without using traditional
weights.

I'm sorry to hear about your cousin.  I was wondering what stage his cancer was, did he do conventional treatment first, what state was he in when he went to germany and which clinic did he go to?  I need to know since it is so difficult finding people who have gone to these clinics.  Thank you.

I know some people went to Germany and my cousin who lived in Germany had
lymphoma type cancer, unfortunately he died after 2 years of every therapy
in that field. I know some people went there but I did not here any success
stories yet which I would like to.

What works for me every time I do it is to go OFF sugar (and possibly sodium). It could be NOT what you're taking for depression but what you're NOT taking (sugar)!

Like most of us I don't have the time to watch my diet as carefully as I'd like. But when I remember, and go OFF sugar (products) within 2-3 days, I feel clear-headed, with no inclination towards feeling down. It almost feels like a re-birth. An added bonus....I find that all aches & pains are gone. I bounce out of bed, and can jump up and down in my desk chair.

To be fair, this might only work for me, but if it's that bad for you, I would give it a try.

[AlternativeAnswers] Thanks for prayers. Need further prayers

 

Hello,

Last time I requested for prayers for my mother. She is well now. Thank you very much for your prayers. I am greatful.

However, again I am in trouble as my 15 year old daughter suffered from facial nerve palsy. She finds it fifficult to move one part her facial muscles. Treatment is going on mostly physiotherapy. Kindly pray for my daughter Siddhi so that this illness is cured and she becomes normal and gets better life ahead. God bless you with better health and abundence of happiness.
